  1. Milestone

    Senior Engineer

    Code Stuff Company

    Remote

    Sub-contract with Department of Defense Health Agency to enhance Electronic Grants System (EGS) applications with new and legacy technologies: AngularJS, React, Groovy, and Java Spring Boot. Continuously partner with stakeholders, developers, and quality assurance to deliver primarily front end features and stories. Overall focus of project is to rebuild legacy AngularJS apps as micro front ends with emphasis upon WCAG and user experience standards.

    • Migrated the legacy Angular codebase to React + TypeScript, creating a friendlier environment for users as well as developers
    • Owned development for contact address book for medical grants system
    • Greenfield new micro front end and replacement for extJS
  2. Milestone

    Senior Engineer II

    American Express

    Hybrid Remote/Phoenix, AZ

    Build internal web apps for new Digital Banking department at American Express. Coordinate with designers and stakeholders; lead developers in some projects; document and design stories from requirements; implement the design language system (Amex DLS -- CSS/React), REST services (One Data -- Java Spring Boot), and micro frontend system (One App -- React).

    • Built and maintained the core front end modules (and many others) for "Control Tower" application, the primary observation tool for American Express' Digital Banking experience.
    • Mentoring junior developers and seeing them succeed and elevate their own positions at Amex
  3. Milestone

    Web Developer II

    Panasonic Avionics

    Remote/Irvine, CA

    Lead front-end developer for a .NET development team for IT department. Supported all departments with various internal applications. Each project incorporated different technologies: Company Marketing site, Vue, Wordpress; Intranet, .NET, jQuery, SCSS/CSS; Company SDK commerce site, .NET, React; Onboarding, Angular 4; etc.

    • Working closely with user interface designers to build the best user experiences
    • Learning to work in .Net environment mainly as a front end devloper
    • Built front end for company wide intranet based upon Sitefinity and hosting various apps
    • Coordinating with junior front end developer to build ecommerce based site for PA's software development kits
  4. Milestone

    Front End Developer

    Album

    San Clemente, CA

    Partnered with designers and business clients to create web-based marketing sites and advertisements utilizing PHP, JS, SCSS/CSS. Primarily developed and deployed WordPress sites, themes, and minor plugin work.

    • Partership with health provider for Apple, Facebook to design health system for iPhone
    • Began to focus on Javascript for greater interactive work
  5. Milestone

    Irvine, CA

    Responsible for building interactive online ads with Adobe Flash and HTML5 and custom marketing websites and microsites using HTML, JS, SCSS/CSS, and WordPress for clients of the firm.

    • Attending basketball games and marketing partership with Los Angeles Clippers
    • Learned a lot about motion graphics and animation in Flash and Javascript
